Maintaining a lifetime of Restful Relationships does not require perfection in one area, but mindful consideration and balance between the three major relationship areas. In Christianity, the scripture says Love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater self-love than to give love to someone who will return your love. By giving the full measure of your love to God first, you are guaranteed to get love back, and to feel the comfort and reassurance of being loved. That is not always the case in the other two areas. You may attempt to be patient and consistent with your body, and it still may get sick. You may attempt to have a non-confrontational attitude towards those around you, and they still may attack you. This is because no mind or body will immediately or automatically, accept or trust, the sincerity of a change in behavior. For both you and others, you will need to allow time for confidence in the behaviors you are exhibiting to be established. However, God can immediately see your heart and your intentions, and will reward you with a pouring out of His Love and His trust in your efforts.
