PEACEFUL COMMUNICATION

Current research has shown that we are not actually multitaskers; it’s our mind’s version of sleight of hand—we switch from one thought to another at such a high speed that it appears to be simultaneous. But, as we speed through our day, we are at risk of compromising the quality of our actions over the quantity. Striving to complete everything on our “list,” we often sacrifice the time it would take to monitor the effect that our thoughts and actions are having on our bodies and our relationships.

Survival is the top priority for every living thing; we are no exception. Misunderstanding, miscommunication, dishonesty, and neglect have become commonly accepted as part of life for the conscious mind, but the subconscious, which is responsible for maintaining all systems at levels necessary for survival, recognizes them as threats. Listening to your body, paying attention to your thoughts, and showing gratitude creates a peaceful bridge of communication between the conscious and subconscious minds that allows for a more enjoyable life with a higher chance of survival.
